Amongst its volunteers, the Phuket Animal Support Group has had the full time help of an Australian veterinarian since February 1999.  Dr Alison Montgomery, a Sydney University Honors graduate, travels throughout the Island visiting temples, hotels and resorts, beaches and streets, vaccinating, sterilizing and treating stray animals for various ailments.

To date, she has sterilized over 500 animals in Phuket.  She is also involved with educating the local children in responsible pet care.

Her own personal aims, whilst here, are to continue humane sterilization and to raise awareness both on a local scale and amongst the visitors to our Island.
